Poster sessions are an extremely effective way to exchange information and to communicate ideas, research, and programs. Poster sessions may be used to:

• describe an innovative intercultural program
• present the process and results of an initiative or practical problem-solving effort
• report on a research study

Poster session presenters place materials such as pictures, data, graphs, diagrams and narrative text on boards (roughly 2m² or 4'x8' in size). During assigned time periods, presenters informally discuss their presentations with conference attendees, provide handouts, etc. Note that poster sessions are presentations, not promotional or commercial events. The conference Show & Tell, Exhibitor and Advertiser opportunities serve these purposes.
